Jessica and Lizzie with a very bizzare palm tree/pineapple looking thing.

A weird sculpture on the beach.

My and Lizzie's soaked feet.

A wave came in quicker then expected, and Lizzie got soaked. After laughing at her, the same thing happenend to me like 2 mins later.

Sean and Lizzie on the beach.

Jessica and I on the beach. Wearing jackets, but on the beach nonetheless.

We then weaved our way along the peninsulas toward the ocean!

Very happy we were somewhere with palm trees ;o)

Sean and Lizzie hugging a palm tree.

We then met up with Sean and Lizzie, who were on a different flight then us. Here is Lizzie and Jessica on one of the lions around the Columbus statue.

The best part of the room was the sunroom at one end. It was floor to ceiling windows, with great views outside. We were very high up (112 steps!), so I got some good pictures outside the window.

After checking out the waterfront, Jessica and I went to drop off our bags at the hostel. It was really, really nice; the room was kinda small but very clean. The location was great, and the owners were really nice. This was taken with the fisheye lens.

The water! At the end of La Ramba it is actually a harbor, to get to the real waterfront you need to do a little walking. The thing in the center of the picture is a really cool walking bridge. The center of it would rotate to allow tall sailing ships to go through.

A very beautiful building near the water, and I have no idea what it is.

Standing at the monument, looking east. It's nice seeing palm trees! :o)

La Rambla ends at this giant monument, with Christopher Columbus on top. He is pointing towards Italy.

This is La Rambla. It's about a mile long, with vendors all along its length, and weird street performers. This section is kinda deserted, but normally it was packed with people.

I took about 700 pictures while in Barcelona, it's hard to know where to begin. This is Placa Catalunya, one of the main parks in Barcelona. The main street in Barcelona, La Rambla, starts here, and ends at the water. South of this park, the streets are a centuries old jumble; north of this point, the city was laid out gridlike. Our hostel was about 500m west of this park, a great location.

To get cheap flights in Europe, you can fly with companies like Ryanair and Easyjet. With these airlines, your expectations need to be to simply not crash. Ryanair's idea of 'inflight food' is overcharging you for items off this menu; even water or tea wasn't free.

On the weekend of March 4th-7th, we went to Barcelona. This is a picture taken from the airplane just before we landed in Reus Salou. Reus Salou is a 'city' about an hour and 15min drive from Barcelona. We flew into and out of there because it was very cheap to do so; our round trip tickets were $65. We also had to take off at 6:10am. That blue stuff at the top of the picture is ocean though.

The gardens outside the castle had peacocks in them for reasons unknown.

Just a picture I liked.

One of the rooms inside the castle with a painting of Charles I.

The church in the town through one of the castle lookouts.

Anna torturing Paula.

The river was all weird and misty, although my overexposure makes it look more misty then it was ;o)

The castle was next to the river.

The town next to the castle.

But it was worth it for views like this.

We walked up and down about a billion of these types of spiral staircases.

I just liked this picture.

Yet another turret thing, but this one has a church in the background.

The inside was really nice too; they had rooms very nicely decorated, some with wax figures of people, and a fairly expensive cafeteria.

Jessica and our flatmate Anna.

The castle grounds.

Jessica and I.

Sean and Lizzie.

Another turret thingy :o)

Jessica in front of one of the tower entrances.

One of the turrets with slots to shoot arrows from.

Jessica and I in front of the entrance.

We then drove about half an hour to Warwick Castle, an unbelieveable place. It was really nice there; the castle was beautiful and in great condition. Unfortunately the sky was like a bright grey all day, and I overexposed my photos a little too much to compensate for that, and most of my pictures turned out kinda nasty. Here are the best.

The church was on the river, and it was a really nice morning.

That morning (the 25th), we went to the Holy Trinity Church, the church Shakespeare attended while in Stratford. He and his wife are buried near the alter (unfortunately no pictures).

They also had a really nice breakfast for all of us.

A picture from our room.

Our group was split between 4 bed and breakfasts. All the guys stayed at the 'Salamander,' which is the one pictured. All of them were really nice though.
