Also in piccadilly circus. I actually haven't taken the Underground yet, we've walked everywhere. We had dinner at a great, cheap, place just a few blocks from here. Half price dinner and drinks from 5-7, we got fish and chips with a drink for under 5 pounds.

This is Piccadilly Circus, a major intersection in London. Its a very happening place, with lots of shopping, restaurants, etc. They even have huge neon signs like Times Square.

This was taken inside the bar.

We watched the superbowl last night at a bar called Cheers at Picadilly Circus. It was part of the American chain, complete with pictures from the show and Fraiser DVDs on sale. Most of the people inside who weren't American had no idea what was going on, but cheered anyways. A few were wearing football jerseys, but very few from the teams actually playing in the Superbowl. They had English announcers telling everyone what was going on, and would sometimes try and relate it to something in rugby.

The West side of St Pauls at night.

I saw this street and had to take a picture. I didn't know you lived here Nan :o)

Another London at night.

London at night.

Another picture of St Paul's from the bridge.

We spent forever at the Tate, and only saw 1/2 of it. When we left it was dark, and I took this picture of St. Pauls across the river. The building was built in 1697, and was the tallest building in London until the 1960s.

Right next to the Tate is the Globe Theater, a reconstruction of Shakespeare's theater. Just before we leave in May we are seeing The Tempest there.

A picture looking east again towards Tower Bridge.

Looking north east towards 'The City' the oldest part of London, and the financial district.

Looking east down the Thames.

This is the Millenium footbridge across the Thames. The brick building on the other side is the Tate Modern.

On the way to the Tate, we passed by St. Pauls.

On Saturday, we went to the Tate Modern Museum of Modern Art. It's a great place, absolutely huge, with Picasso, Dali, etc. Its on the other side of the Thames, across the Millenium foot bridge. On the way, I took this picture, at the intersection of Grays Inn and Holbourn. I think its so funny, the Tudor building that is hundreds of years old, with the McDonald truck in front.

Cars come very small here. Its interesting, they have some of the same cars as home, and a lot different. They are some car companies that we don't have, and some cars that are different under the same companies we have. Some of the car companies will have different slogans here too. A lot of the commercials here are funny, they'll be the same ones as home, but dubbed with someone in a British accent.

On Thursday, we went to see King Lear at the Albery Theater. It was a good show, just very long, 4 hours. This theater is about a 15min walk from the apartment, in Covent Garden.

Yay, they have Honda Preludes here too!

Hey, we make separate things for men and women that don't need to be distinct :o) This was taken in a Sainsbury's, a popular grocery store here. Everything is very expensive here, about twice as much as home.

Our study center is next door to the British Museum. It's an unbelieveable place, I really haven't gotten a chance to spend too much time inside yet, but at least we got to see the Rosetta Stone. All the Museums in London are free, so you can go in and out as you want, seeing as much as you feel like every day.

This was taken on the walk to the FSU Center, where we take our classes and have a meeting once a week. It's about a 10-15 min walk from our flats.

Out the same window at night.

Out the back (living room) window.

Also out the window of my bedroom. A red bus!! Our group of flats is on a fairly major road in London, it's busy at all hours.

A picture from the plane. I had a window seat.
